Talking about the photo shoot for Great Balls of Cheese wasn’t enough. I had to try my hand at making some at home. Of course my decorating skills aren’t very impressive, so I went with one of the more “traditional” balls. But what it may lack in prettiness, it more than made up for in flavor.
This spicy corn cheese ball is made with cheddar and cream cheese. I don’t want to spoil the recipe because I think you should check out the book for yourself, but there are definitely some canned chiles in adobo sauce which give it a lot of flavor.
The chilling time is important, so set aside a couple of hours before you plan to serve these. Then you chop up cilantro for coating the outside.
