One of my new authors sent me a homemade baking mix — just add water and oil and voila. Very nice of her. I’m going to keep it a secret who sent it to me for now. The cool thing about this mix is that it’s one of those no-knead type recipes. All it required was a lot of patience. And chocolate chip yeast bread would have been great enough, but this was spiced with chai. Honestly, I don’t know how you flavor bread with chai. Maybe something like a chai powder? The photo doesn’t do the bread justice. It was pretty fantastic, and don’t even ask me how great it smelled in my house after baking this bread. Chocolate and tea apparently go together really well. The only hard part was waiting until it cooled off a bit before cutting into it.
