Prop stylist extraordinaire Leslie Siegel, who has styled more books for me than I can count including the new 101 Champagne Cocktails, just posted a bunch of photos from her trip to Japan. I was drawn to this one, because I’m always drawn to really weird, hard-to-identify food photos. Let’s see… I’m going to guess that they’re bananas on a stick, possibly frozen, covered in chocolate or caramel, and then dipped in sprinkles. That’s pretty American-sounding though. It’s probably something a lot stranger.
