everybody loves homemade bread

Apologies in advance to Shauna, Vanessa and Elizabeth (my gluten-free crew), but who doesn’t love fresh-baked, homemade bread? The thing is, I’m not sure I realized just how popular a topic it is in America when I first started working with Nancy Baggett. It feels like just days ago that I was on the photoshoot for Kneadlessly Simple, wondering how this amazing book would be received.

Now I know — the book has turned into a sensation, a consistent best-seller on Amazon. Hundreds of copies are sold every week. I knew there was a lot of interest in no-knead techniques, but I wasn’t quite ready for this kind of success. Now I’m hearing rumors about three more books on the subject coming out this Fall, but that’s a long way off. Nancy’s book is in stores now, and if you haven’t already, you might want to check it out for yourself.

These are just my snapshots, but about the photoshoot, Alexandra Grablewski was at the helm (see her in action in the above photo), and Brian Preston-Campbell did the food styling. I’ve said it before, but those two make a great team. (As always, don’t tell Alexandra about this post, because I don’t think she likes it when I’m sneakily taking photos behind her back. Just kidding, Brian, you can tell her.)

  1. Wow – this book is indeed getting a lot of great hype. Just today-someone in another department showed us (me and Jeff) a web site that was featuring this book. Can’t wait to try out the recipes. I am a bread addict!
